about me
I don't really like talking about myself; I would rather let my images speak for me instead. You can view them on this website as well as on the stock agencies and news media websites world wide. So here is a short brief:
I started being seriously interested in photography during in my early school years - and never stopped eversince.....
Currently based in Heraklion - Crete, I am primarily interested in Fine Art Photography, People Images, Lifestyle, Landscapes, and Travel Photography.
Further, I am a Stock Photographer-Videographer, and a contributor to several worldwide leading MacroStock/Microstock Photo Agencies. My activities include Tv, Press Web Media documentaries, digital photographic products critique-evaluation reports.
When digitaI photography became available, I stepped into the emerging "new" world, and started using related software, such as Photoshop version 4.0 at that time. The change over was fast. Traditional darkroom work was replaced by the digital workflow, practically offering unlimited possibilities to the mindful creative photographer.
I use Adobe Photoshop aproximatelly 3 - 6 hours on a daily basis during the last 27 years, and keep up to date with the latest Photoshop version. Included in my workflow since its beta days - January 2006 - is Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. This software helped my smooth transition from analog to digital photography.
I enjoy photographing people, landscapes, and places around the world. I enjoy creating meaningful portraits.
I have at times participated in local, nationwide and international photography competitions, and have received various distinctions and awards. I have been a member various Photographers Organizations both local and international - as long as I paid for my membership........
A very important for my professional status recognition came in the 2007 World Wide Adobe Photoshop Awards, where I won the first prize in the category wedding/portrait with my photo "MUSICIAN".
Today: My every day companion is a backpack with photo gear, and the everlasting desire to create new images....... I keep on learning........
